Weekly Wrap Up - 1900's / Modern American History - June 8

We've just completed our first week of the new school year....

Since we are studying the 20th Century this year, I thought it would be appropriate to start with building The White House .  (Bet you didn't know how talented my kids are, did you?)

After spending some time reviewing the happenings of the 19th century, we began with President Theodore Roosevelt.  In addition to reading, we watched a great documentary on 'Teddy' and my daughter worked on her American Girls lapbook.

Starting with Samantha at the turn of the 20th century!
Since I wasn't feeling well, we spent most of the week at home.  It was a good time to get some reading done with my daughter.  Starting with Samantha at the turn of the 20th century!

Next week:  Hawaii, Panama Canal, Samantha crafts and more!

  2. Is that a 3-D puzzle of the White House?

Sounds like you all had a good week of school, Mom's ear infection aside!
