Chirpy is right at home on my 10 year old's desk and is presently enjoying soaking in his 'hot tub'.
This week we went back and re-did our reading on Franklin and Elanor Roosevelt. These books were much better than what we substituted last week. Also this week, my oldest began his study on Hitler and Stalin. He doesn't enjoy reading about these mad-men, but, has a new appreciation what to look for in a "good ruler".

In addition, we watched a biography on Amelia Earhart and Stalin: Red Terror.
My daughter enjoyed this 'folk' book called Elisabeth . All kids learned about the Hindenburg and watched the original newsreel.

My daughter finished books 4-6 of the Kit series and picked out several project from Kit's Friendship Fun for next week.
Speaking of next week, it will be a Sabbath Week for The Circus. In addition to Labor Day, my oldest turns 13 and two co-ops begin. We have plenty of fun, hands-on projects planned as well.
